We have now launched a new payment flow. This brings a lot of new features and stability improvements.

Points can expire

Points are now handled with better accountability and in a more resilient way. This means that we can let points expire, if they are not used. 

The system is set up to use the oldest points first, but if a user still manages to not use all their points, we will automatically delete them. This system is based on the Danish tax regulations affecting gift cards, which is also where the 3 year period come from.

Better 3D secure & full Apple- and Google pay

We now support Native 3D secure 2, which primarily means 2 things:

1. The user will not be redirected, 3D secure authentication will happen directly in the bookli app or the webapp. This will minimise friction when paying, and making it slightly faster.
2.  We will request the users card issuer to authenticate the user based on all the information we have on the user already (name, address, phone, previous purchases, etc.) before we launch 3D secure authentication. That way, the user will often be able to pay without verifying with 3D secure.

The main takeway from this, is that we expect fewer failed payments, and less friction in the payment process.
